but how do you really feel?

A rainy Saturday morning. We are sitting at the table with big mugs of coffee and baguettes spread with butter and jam, reading the Pioneer Press.

Steve: (Reading from newspaper.) "A Vatican official reportedly called for a boycott of the upcoming The Da Vinci Code film Friday, saying it contained 'slanderous' offenses against Christianity that would have provoked a worldwide revolt had they been directed against Islam or the Holocaust."

Me: (Ignoring the part about the boycott.) Hmm ... I could sort of see that after the cartoon incident. And Salman Rushie did have a fatwa called on him for writing a book Muslim leaders thought was slanderous against Islam.

Steve: Oh - if they could call a fatwa on Ron Howard and get him out of filmmaking forever, that would be completely worth it to me!

What happened to Opie....
I know I am off topic here, but boy, Ron Howawd was such a cute, little boy on the Andy Griffith's Show. He was even attractive as Richie Cunningham on Happy Days... But as an old man..... his looks could have Barney fumbling for that lone, killer bullet.

Hey, I'm sorry I dropped the ball on that "West Wing" episode - my paper got in the way. :( I will burn it for you ASAP. It was a really good episode, and is definitely still worth watching even though another episode aired last night! I'll be in touch...

Oh, noooooooooooooooooooooo...
I didn't realize that if you don't push a certain sequence of buttons, TiVo deletes episodes after a certain amount of time. So, I don't have last week's episode any more.

I'm SO, SO sorry. Boo.

Well, you probably got the gist from Sunday's episode - Santos is preparing to assume the presidency. A couple of interesting parts that the most recent episode left out: Josh and Donna are currently on vacation (which is why they weren't in the episode on Sunday). Josh was so burned out that Santos sent him away, and he took Donna along! And, Josh asked Sam to be the Deputy Chief of Staff, and Sam's thinking about it. He's engaged, to a lawyer (and I have a theory that it might be Laurie, the *ahem* call girl from Season 1 who was just graduating from law school then) but I have no evidence to back this up. It could also be Ainsley, who is also a lawyer. Or it could be an anonymous woman we haven't met yet!

Anyway. I'm SO sorry about my idiotic failure to save this episode for you!! :(
