here, forty forty forty

I just looked at the calendar and realized that today is my half-birthday, which means that in exactly six months, I will leave the 30s ... forever. That just feels so wierd right now. I can't believe 40 is just around the corner. How am I doing on my list? Not too bad, I guess ... and I'll be able to check No. 39 off in probably a little more than a week (depending on how quickly I read)!

40 is right around the corner for me too, in about 4 months. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry.

I want to say it is exciting and I am not dreading getting there, but maybe my opinion will change once I turn 30? I don't know. Either way, you look phenominal and I think it probably helps that you have a young spirit. I know I don't know you personally, but it seems like it. :_)

It's just another day. I was told I'd feel so different and blah blah, but I didn't. I went out to see a brass band in New Orleans, however, and wound up with a cold the next day (the first in a months-long series of climate adjustments, which have long since settled, with the help of pharmaceuticals). I bought a Vespa scooter a month before, so maybe that counts as a marker of some sort.
