Oh em, he is SO CUTE!!! I miss him so much. I'll bet he's getting on an easier sleeping schedule for you. Seems he likes kitty, too. He could totally be a model. Now that you're going to stay home, you can be one of those pageant moms......
Since we have not one but two cats that sleep with us (in between us, on our faces, etc.) I'm guessing they are going to feel mighty displaced when there's another little one in the bed!!
Kristine, yes, we have found that he sleeps better on his side. This was something we noticed on Day 1 in the hospital, when he actually turned onto his side by himself, but of course we encouraged him to sleep on his back. Now that he's older (and has been sleeping with us), we've found he likes to sleep facing me.
Liz, it was so hard for us to "displace" Ingrid from the bed! She (and George, when he was alive) always slept with us, and we were afraid that when we put her out of the room, she would blame the baby. We actually started a few weeks before he was born, just to get her used to it. So far, she's been surprisingly adaptable.
I'm Emilie, a writer and mother to two young boys, married to my best friend and living in St. Paul, Minnesota. I was diagnosed with a soft-tissue sarcoma in August 2007, while pregnant with our youngest son. Cancer sucks. But we are trying to live life to the fullest in spite of it.

Those photos are great! He looks so expressive and happy!
There is just something about baby faces at about this age that melts my heart, more than other ages.
cute!
BTW--I heard a rumor that Harry Flynn has skin cancer. Have you heard anything about this?

I remember feeling so secure as a child when I climbed up into the bed between Mom & Dad.
Awwww!
