seven true things

I've been tagged by Kristine to list seven truths about myself and tag seven people to do the same. I think I'll just list mine — and if you want to play along, just share your list in the comments section!

1. I am turning 40 (a.k.a. "the new 30") in January.

2. I once received a $100 bill from Bill Murray as a tip when I was a bartender in college.

3. I live within a one-mile radius of more coffee shops than I can count on one hand.

4. I am the only member of my family who lives in the Midwest. My parents and siblings are in the Pacific Northwest, and my aunts, uncles and cousins are in Oregon, California and New Jersey.

5. As of today, I am 17 weeks pregnant with baby number two, whom I constantly think of as a girl. We'll find out if I'm right on Nov. 14!

6. I am an introvert by nature; I like people, but I need solitude to recharge my inner batteries.

7. I am married to a smart, kind, patient, funny, handsome man!

Here are Susanne's "I don't have much of a life"-ish answers:

1) I've had radiation and chemotherapy for Hodgkins, as well as open heart surgery from radiation damage.

2) I have a diabetic cat.

3) I play the violin, which seems good on the surface but is actually really stressful and interferes with my day job as an accountant.

4) I have severe social anxiety, thus I don't socialize much, and as a result am lonely and depressed a lot.

5) I am a minimalist in terms of possessions I own - am rather proud of this trait, especially since it makes moving so easy!

6) I am probably the only one in my age group who likes Lawrence Welk, mainly because of the polka!

7) People have told me I'm kind of artsy looking.

1. I have to take a nap almost every weekday.

2. I was the maid of honor in a wedding officiated by the Archbishop of Portland.

3. I am open to the religious life.

4. I have symptoms of PCOS and Meniere's Disease.

5. As I continue to study music, vocal technique and rhythm, I am starting to enjoy the Lawrence Welk show and those talented artists ...in small doses.

6. Despite a lifelong disdain of my socially akwardness, I am an extrovert.

7. My sisters are so awesome!!!

Ellen, I'm all choked up by what you said in # 7. Ditto for me! I have such awesome sistahhs, and I feel so rotten whenever I get so short or so "me-oriented" with them.
